Leadership and leadership development will always be an integral part of Christian Education. Whether you’re a school manager, teacher, parent or student, leadership is part of your calling. This is because we are image-bearers of the Alpha and Omega Leader, the God of the Universe.

Solitude and Leadership

Solitude LeadershipThis is a transcript of the opening address delivered to the new intake at West Point US Military Academy in 2009 by William Deresiewicz. The speaker makes the point that solitude is an important leadership practice. We know this from examining the life of Jesus too. “Thinking means concentrating on one thing long enough to develop an idea about it,” he says, lamenting the disruptive impact of electronic media in our world. Although this is a long read, and not overtly Christian, it resonates with countless Biblical principles from the life of Jesus and makes several interesting points for leadership development.
